How we operate

Four positions we will not negotiate away

They cost us work occasionally. They are also the reason the clients we do take on stay.

We write the specification before the code

Discovery is a paid, time-boxed phase that ends in a document, not a proposal deck. If that document shows the project should not go ahead, we say so — it is a cheaper outcome for you than finding out in month four.

You own everything at the end

Source code, infrastructure definitions, credentials and documentation transfer to you. We build no dependency on ourselves into the architecture, because a client who cannot leave is not a client who stayed.

We do not claim what we cannot evidence

No client logos we have not been given permission to use, no delivery statistics nobody can audit, no certification we do not hold. What we publish is checkable in a public register.

We decline work that does not fit

Wrong stack, wrong scale, or a sector we will not work in — the answer arrives early and in writing. A supplier who accepts everything has told you nothing about their judgement.

Working together

Three ways to contract us

Which one fits is usually obvious after ten minutes of conversation. If it is not, we will say that too.

Fixed-scope delivery

Milestones, acceptance criteria and a change-control procedure agreed up front. Best when the requirement is stable and the budget has to be approved before work starts.

Best fit: A defined system with a specification both sides signed.

Dedicated team

Named engineers on a monthly rolling contract inside your process, with a 30-day notice period on both sides.

Best fit: Ongoing product work where the backlog changes faster than a contract can.

Advisory retainer

A capped number of hours per month for architecture review, code review, incident support and technology decisions.

Best fit: You have an internal team and need architecture review or a second opinion.

What this website deliberately does not show

No client logos, no project counts, no revenue figures, no testimonials and no “% improvement” numbers. Every one of those would be an advertising claim that a visitor cannot check and that we would have to substantiate on request. We would rather publish less and have all of it be true.

Certifications we do not hold

Asterion Software s.r.o. is not certified against ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001 or any comparable standard. Our internal controls are modelled on ISO/IEC 27001 Annex A and the OWASP ASVS, which is a statement about how we work — not a certificate, and we will not present it as one.
